scuba n. 1. an apparatus used in skindiving, consisting of a cylinder or cylinders containing compressed air attached to a breathing apparatus. 2. (as a modifier): scuba diving. From the initials of self-contained underwater breathing apparatus.

dive vb. dives, diving dived 1. To plunge headlong into water. 2. (of a submarine, swimmer, etc) to submerge underwater.

diver n. 1. A person or thing that dives. 2. A person who works or explores underwater

SUSAC n. 1. Student club from the University of Sheffield who engage in scuba diving type activities.   2. Group of petrol heads, fish huggers, social misfits and badge collectors who meet in a pub once a week and talk about diving.

If you've never dived before, that's no problem! We're running try dives in association with the Union's Give It A Go Program & the British Sub Aqua Club on Sunday the 27th September - tickets available at the box office or at the Sports Fair.
