Membership

We’re always on the lookout for new recruits, whether you’ve already got a diving qualification or you’re completely new to it.  If you’re new to diving, why not come to one of our regular try dives first?

The more you put into the club, the more you get out, so come along, join up and start enjoying some exciting diving with the most friendly and active club at the University of Sheffield!

• Look out for details of our next student sign-up meeting on our news page.  These are usually somewhere really close to the University, or
• Get in touch with our Secretary by emailing memb...@susac.com.

Membership Fees

Current annual membership of SUSAC costs £75 (£50 for qualified BSAC Open Water Instructors).  Membership is valid for one calendar year from the day we receive your payment.  What does membership include?

Every SUSAC member must also be a member of BSAC.  (Why?) BSAC membership fees are decided nationally by the BSAC Council, not us, so see the BSAC website for up-to-date BSAC membership rates.

Note that to join BSAC, you have to complete a medical self-declaration form each year.  Click here to view a digital copy: if you have to answer ‘Yes’ to any question, you will need to seek medical advice before continuing.  Please feel free to get in touch and ask us for advice if you find yourself in this position: it doesn’t mean you won’t be able to scuba dive safely, and you won’t be the first in the Club to go through this process.
