Capernwray Training – 30 June/1 July 2012

We’re now back from the first open water training trip of the season, and I’m delighted to say it’s been a very successful weekend!  We took 6 student divers to Capernwray this weekend, and 3 of them have walked away with completed diver qualifications:

Amy Chantry – Sports Diver

Emma Gilhooly – Ocean Diver

Jack Whiteley – Sports Diver

The other three trainees have made excellent progress towards their grades, and should hopefully be able to qualify on the next trip out.

For those going to Capernwray to train over the coming summer months, the water this weekend was a balmy 15°C, and lovely diving was had by all, despite a dozen training schools coming ploughing through on their first open water dives and making the place look untidy.  I think I’ll have to make a sign that says “you have all of Capernwray to work with, stop trying to land on my head!”

Anyway congratulations to all our newly qualified divers!  I’m sure we’ll have many more very soon.
